Welcome to the Huggins Family History Blog! My name is Amy and I will be your host. This blog is designed to bring members of the Huggins Family together (descendents of George Samuel Martin Huggins, but all are welcome) to share stories and photos, reunite those who may have lost touch, and promote the annual family reunion. I apologize for my limited knowledge of Huggins Family history, but I am looking forward to learning more and getting to know many members of the Huggins Family.
I have had the pleasure of getting to know Carolyn S. over the past couple of years. Recently, I was able to spend an afternoon with her. She supplied me with most of the photos I now have, along with quite a lot of stories and information. I admire her dedication to overseeing and promoting the family reunion year after year, and also her determination to keep family history alive. Thank you Carolyn!
Please pass this site along to any Huggins Family members that you know. I am looking forward to hearing from family members with history, stories, memories, photos, favorite recipes, questions, and comments. Also, please send in current events in your family, along with pictures. I will post this information on the site for everyone to read. Please email me at ahdaisy32@aol.com.
The reunion is now less than a month away. It will be held at the N.O.I.C.A. building on Ponkan Rd. in Apopka, FL (where the Zellwood Corn Festival is held) on October 3, 2009. Lunch is at noon, but come early to visit. Please bring any photos you would like to show. Hope to see you there!
The above picture is from an early family reunion. Does anyone recoginize the people in the photo? Perhaps you are in the photo? What are your memories from family reunions that you have been to? Who would you like to see come to the family reunion? Please let me hear from everyone with your photos and stories!
